Robert Torrens, 46, of Stamford, was charged with fifth-degree larceny on Oct. 18 at approximately 10:45 a.m. According to police, officers were alerted to a suspicious male on Grasmere Ave. in Fairfield carrying two chainsaws still in their packaging.
