In 2011 I had the distinct pleasure of interning for Fairfield State Representative Kim Fawcett at the State Capitol in Hartford. At the time, I was a senior undergraduate political science student at Sacred Heart University and was contemplating taking the plunge into public service but thought an internship would be able to tip the scales one way or the other and did it ever! Working for and with Kim ignited in me a passion for public service and politics that I was unaware I even had in me.
