Saint Joseph's University Elects Mark C. Reed as First Lay President

The Saint Joseph's University Board of Trustees today elected Mark C. Reed, Ed.D., as the Jesuit institution's 28th - and first lay - president in its 164-year history. Dr. Reed currently serves as senior vice president and chief of staff at Fairfield University, in Fairfield, Conn., which along with Saint Joseph's is one of the nation's 28 Jesuit colleges and universities.
