Fairfield County residents aren't likely to see rain and storms but should prepare for sunny skies and temperatures in the mid-70s for the long Independence Day holiday weekend, according to the National Weather Service. The weather will be mostly sunny Friday, with a high near 79 degrees, with many people off work for the federal holiday.
