When police were called to a Shady Hill Road home Sunday to investigate the report of a man threatening to hurt himself, they were told that he had attacked his girlfriend the night before, according to the report. It was while trying to talk to Michael Schroeder, 30, about his behavior the previous night, the girlfriend told police that Schroeder held a knife to his chest, according to police.
