John J. Wellner Jr., 77, of Fairfield, husband of Mary Bowns Wellner, died Monday, Aug. 10, at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport to John and Helen Grecula Wellner, he attended Bassick High School, where he met the love of his life, Mary.
