A Seymour who set off a Fairfield County police alert Aug. 29 will appear in Superior Court Tuesday to answer charges. Alan Gombos, 33, of Brookdale Road, faces a number of charges including kidnapping, first-degree strangulation, sexual assault of a spouse and second-degree assault when he appears before Superior Court Judge Peter Brown.
