MAXAM Capital Management LLC of Darien has told the town of Fairfield that repayment of only $250,000 is guaranteed to the town in a recent court award of $2.88 million for losses of money invested from municipal pension funds in the Bernard Madoff multi-billion-dollar pension fraud.
