A 40-year-old Fairfield man was charged Monday afternoon with leaving a child under 12 unsupervised after he allegedly went into BJ's Wholesale Club on Black Rock Turnpike to pick up potatoes and left his three children, ages 8, 5 and 18 months, in a van, police said.
