A Fairfield man was charged with driving under the influence last week after an officer saw his vehicle backing down a northbound entrance ramp to Interstate 95. Carl Kueffner , 56, of Cummings Avenue in Fairfield, was charged with operating under the influence of drugs or alcohol and improper entry or leaving a controlled access highway.
