A Fairfield man charged with carrying two loaded handguns onto the University of New Haven campus in December is now facing a federal charge of bringing an assault weapon into Connecticut from Pennsylvania, U.S. Attorney for Connecticut Deirdre M. Daly announced Tuesday in a statement.
