The Independence Day holiday -- with an extra nod to Fairfield's 375th anniversary -- will get a star-spangled salute the weekend of July 4. The observances begin with the traditional ceremony saluting the Declaration of Independence at 10 a.m. July 4 on Town Hall Green, sponsored by Fairfield United Veterans.
