A 28-year-old man was charged with driving under the influence after an accident in which his car was damaged and two of his tires were flat, according to a report in the Westport News, which got its information from Westport police. David Douglas of Flora Boulevard, Fairfield, drove his vehicle into the parking lot at Bridge Square at the intersection of Bridge Street and Riverside Avenue , where police were sent by a 7 p.m. report of a possibly intoxicated male.
