A would-be thief's plan to take a 2013 Mercedes GL 450 for a spin didn't quite work out as planned, according to Fairfield police. Fairfield Police responded to a report of a theft from a motor vehicle Friday at Mercedes-Benz of Fairfield at 165 Commerce Drive.
