A woman who left her purse in a shopping cart at ShopRite on Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfield recovered her purse from a nearby store, but her wallet, which she had put inside the purse, was gone, police said. The woman realized she had forgotten her purse and returned to the parking lot, police said.
