Workshop message: 'You can't have a community without trees'

With observances of Earth Day blossoming around the region all month long, people interested in helping to preserve the state's forests and nurturing their own trees got advice firmly rooted in reality at a program, "Roots to Branches," co-sponsored Saturday by the town's Forestry Committee and the Connecticut Audubon Center at Fairfield.
