Michael Schouten, 36, of Fairfield, was charged with third-degree assault, second-degree unlawful restraint and disorderly conduct on Jan. 26 at approximately 9:30 p.m. According to police, Schouten entered into a physical argument with a woman at a residence on Longview Ave. in Fairfield.
