Just weeks after receiving, and being trained on how to use Narcan, a Fairfield firefighter used a life-saving dose of the drug on an unresponsive person on Monday afternoon, according to WTNH.com. WTNH reports that firefighters were called to a home on a report of an overdose and after the firefighter gave the dose of Narcan, the person was breathing on their own and became more responsive.
