A 23-year-old Fairfield man who caused an hours-long lockdown at the University of New Haven after he carried weapons onto the campus last year pleaded guilty Thursday to federal gun charges and now faces up to five years in prison. William Dong pleaded guilty in Hartford federal court to transporting an assault weapon into Connecticut in violation of federal law, said U.S. Attorney Deirdre M. Daly.
