The results are in and while Gov. Dannel P. Malloy won reelection , the majority of Fairfield voters cast their ballots in favor of challenger Tom Foley. In the Fourth U.S. Congressional District race, incumbent Democrat Jim Himes defeated Republican Dan Debicella .
