As a member of FPLAN, a Fairfield organization dedicated to ensuring environmental protection and oversight for our town's land, marshes, open space and waters, I would like to thank state Rep. Brenda Kupchick for her strong advocacy for the long-awaited cleanup of the Mill River to remove lead from the former Exide battery plant. I am grateful for her commitment as Brenda helped lead efforts to ensure our state officials required a better clean up and more input from our town and better access to detailed information.
