Nierintz served as a cook for several local restaurant and bars, as well as having been an employee for Ames Department Store and Stop & Shop Super Market before retirement. Nierintz is survived by her children, Roberta Smith of Tennessee, Patricia Gavin of Seymour, Robert Lotzko of Lordship, Gary Lotzko of Seymour; stepsons, Robert Perry and Edward Nierintz of Arizona; 17 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; brother, William Fodor of Fairfield; and several nieces and nephews.
