A Fairfield woman was arrested Wednesday on a warrant charging her with assaulting her elderly mother and inflicting injuries which allegedly broke her back, the Fairfield Citizen reported. Amanda J. Yelen, 47, was charged with violation of a protective order and third-degree assault on a victim aged 60 or over.
