Richard E. Johnson, 85, Of Bridgeport

He is survived by Shirley Stukins Johnson, his wife of 63 years; his children: Jeffrey, and his wife, Ann, of Palos Verdes Estates, Calif., Kaye Liburdi, and her husband, Ottavio, of Monroe, and Mark, and his wife, Amy, of Fairfield; six grandchildren: Matthew and Carley Johnson, Julia and Kristen Liburdi, and Jack and Henry Johnson; and his brother, David M. Johnson, and his wife, Marilyn, of Madison, Wis. Born in Madison to Siphord and Helen Strommen Johnson, he graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1951 and went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
