Suspected Shoplifter Arrested on I-95

Westport and state police today joined forces to arrest a suspected shoplifter from Fairfield whose apprehension on I-95 in Westport snarled southbound traffic. At least one Westport police cruiser suffered damage as police followed and then boxed in the suspect's vehicle near exit 17, according to reports from the scene.
