The Connecticut Department of Health fined a New Jersey company for operating eight blood collection centers in the state including a center Fairfield without approval, the Connecticut Health Investigative Team reports. BioReference Laboratories Inc. signed a consent order on Nov. 3 with the Department of Health agreeing to the $200,000 fine and five years probation on the licenses of three clinical laboratories in Connecticut and a certificate of approval for a blood collection center, the publication reports.
