Media Wave in downtown Fairfield has announced to its customers that it is no longer renting DVDs and video games and is instead selling its entire stock as it prepares to close , according to the Fairfield Citizen. Paul Jordanopoulos, who opened the store 17 years ago, told the Citizen that the peak of the market was around 2008 or 2009 but the influx of streaming platforms, such as NetFlix, hasn't boded well for business.
