Fairfield Musem Displays 250 Years Of Wedding Dresses

The Fairfield Museum and History Center will open a new exhibition, "Fashion & Fantasy: 250 Years of Wedding Dresses," on Thursday, Feb. 19, and running through May 31. The exhibit will features wedding gowns spanning several centuries - from 18th-century silk and military-inspired Civil War dresses to the ubiquitous white dress of today - and will show how the traditions of "the big day" have changed over time. The exhibition will open to the public Feb. 19 at the Museum After Dark event from 6-8 p.m., which will feature a wine and cheese tasting sponsored by Fairfield Living magazine.
