Fairfield Police Charge Two With Shoplifting $225 In Groceries

Officers arrested two Bridgeport residents on charges of shoplifting more than $200 in groceries from Stop & Shop on Kings Highway Cutoff on Thursday, Fairfield police said. Jesse Lewis, 32, and Rebecca Lewis, 37, both of Cleveland Avenue, were stopped by loss prevention employees after they noticed the Bridgeport residents had used a portable scanner and the self checkout line to hide groceries at checkout, police said.
