Girl Scout Mary Essex, flanked by First Selectman Michael Tereau and Social Services Director Terry Giegengack, recently made a wheelchair-accessible planter for the Fairfield Senior Center. In recognition of her project, Tetreau designated April 24 as "Mary Essex Day" in Fairfield.
