E, Aetna and the Travelers all slammed a plan to raise taxes on corporations crafted in a tax package in Hartford on Monday. State lawmakers were stunned Monday after both Fairfield-based companies General Electric and Aetna threatened to leave the state over a proposed state tax increase.
