GE jettisons private equity loan unit

As it continues its departure from the banking sector, General Electric will sell Antares Capital to the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board in a $12 billion deal. Fairfield-based GE and the CPP Investment Board confirmed the sale Tuesday morning after Bloomberg first reported Sunday that a deal was in the works.
