In the wake of a threat last week from the CEO of Fairfield-based General Electric to move out of the Nutmeg State due to the new state budget, Texas has reached out and promised a smaller tax bill, according to the Hearst Connecticut Media Group. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott sent a letter - obtained exclusively by Hearst Connecticut Media - to GE CEO Jeffrey Immelt on Wednesday trying to court the company to the Lone Star State.
