The state Department of Transportation is planning to improve the pavement of a 4.2-mile stretch of I-95 from New England Avenue in Fairfield to Beardsley Street in Bridgeport. DOT says it's part of a "pavement preservation project" intended to extend the life of the existing pavement with "cost-effective treatment."
