The fifth annual "Birds and Their Habitat" art exhibit is planned as a three-day celebration of birds and their importance to conservation by the Connecticut Audubon Society this weekend. The exhibit opens Friday with a reception and continues Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Audubon Center, 2325 Burr St. Nelson North, director of Fairfield operations for Connecticut Audubon Society, said in a statement that the group, whose mission is to conserve the environment through education and advocacy focused on the state's birds and habitats, is showcasing artists who specialize in avian art and nature.
