Residents in the Southport section of town spoke against plans to build a new Walgreen's pharmacy at a Fairfield Planning and Zoning Commission public hearing on the application Tuesday night, according to the Fairfield Citizen. The Citizen reports that the hearing was closed to the public after three and a half hours, due to an 11 p.m. curfew for commission meetings, but the review was continued until Oct. 14 to allow Walgreen's lawyer to make a rebuttal.
