A house on Jackman Avenue in Fairfield was evacuated after a 23-year-old resident allegedly poured gasoline around his family's home and on himself early Friday morning, according to the Fairfield Citizen. The man, who lives at the house with his family, was reportedly despondent during the incident and was committed to St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport on an emergency basis, according to the Citizen.
