Bill for Riverfield staff party triggers demand to inspect school records

Board of Education member John Llewellyn has asked school officials to provide him with internal check registers at each of the townis 16 public schools over the past two years. FAIRFIELD -- An invoice for $529.25 that Riverfield School Principal Brenda Anziano accidentally emailed to parents last September -- expenditures for party supplies that included appetizers, alcohol and ice -- prompted a Board of Education member's request for internal check registers at each of the town's public schools over the past two years.
