All throughout the District II Little League tournament, friends and family of the Fairfield American team have been wearing T-shirts that, in just three words, showcase the determination of a program that has played in the New England Regional four of the last five years and advanced to Williamsport, Pa., twice for the Little League World Series : Never Give Up. Facing elimination Thursday night, Fairfield American hit five home runs and rolled to victory over Westport, forcing an "if" game between the two teams.
