The following letter is addressed to members of American Legion Post 143 , and submitted to the Fairfield Citizen for publication: I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the dinner and plaque you had made in recognition of my 57 years of service to the town of Fairfield. My family and I appreciated the kindness you and the members of Legion Post 74 and VFW Post 6924 members extended to us.
