Office leasing increases in Danbury, but the size of the deals remain small

A flurry of new leases in recent months may have reduced vacancy rates for office space in Danbury, but the market hasn't been attracting some of the larger deals seen in other areas. Data released this week from Newmark, Grubb, Knight and Frank show that while leasing activity declined in northern Fairfield County by about 7 percent during the fourth quarter, the vacancy rates in the Danbury area dropped 2 percentage points to 23.1 percent from the same time last year for Class A office space.
