Sledding down the hill at Sturges Park on Mill Plain Road is a Fairfield tradition after a snowstorm, but police got a call Tuesday about a sledder using a very untraditional method to navigate the slopes. An officer said when he arrived at the park to check on the 1:30 p.m. report, a 14-year-old, toting a dinghy, and the boy's mother were walking back to their car.
