Here's an update on the winter storm -- downgraded from a blizzard -- still buffeting Fairfield and the Northeast this morning. The state has lifted its ban on local travel as of 8:30 a.m. after a very safe night during which only 11 accidents were reported on the state's highway network, according to Gov. Dannel Malloy .
