Police arrested a Fairfield man on a warrant stemming from an altercation with his ex-wife on March 2 over a messing cellphone. James Armstrong Brandt, 47, of Division Street, was arrested Friday, March 6, when his ex-wife called police after a verbal altercation that started when Brandt tried to pick up the couple's two children from her home, police said.
