Police say the 31-year-old woman was apparently crossing the tracks to get to another platform when she was hit. Chief Gary McNamara of the Fairfield, Connecticut Police Department described the incident, "As the train started coming, she apparently tried to seek shelter underneath the tracks, underneath the platform.
