Town offices reopened, school was back in session and cars once again populated Post Road on Wednesday, Jan. 28, the day after Fairfield dodged a blizzard that was expected to drop nearly three feet of snow across the town. And although Fairfield received only about 6 to 8 inches of snowfall, First Selectman Michael Tetreau believes the town Emergency Operations Center "did a splendid job" preparing for a storm predicted to be much worse and working to return the town back to normal by Wednesday.
