Irish play to open Fairfield U. troupe's seasonvisit|article-5843390|mobile_simple_list_body-26795|2

Fairfield University's resident theater troupe, Theatre Fairfield, opens its 2014-15 season on Wednesday, with a production of the Tony Award-winning "Dancing at Lughnasa," by Irish playwright Brian Friel. Performances are scheduled at the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts' Wien Black Box Theatre, at 8 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, Nov. 1. Matinees at 2 p.m. also are planned Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 1 and 2. "Dancing at Lughnasa" is set in the small Irish village Balleybeg during the summer of 1936.
