Restaurant Week doesn't just mean discounted meals in Fairfield, it also means longer shopping hours, sales promotions, and a chance to win prizes including two tickets to the town's 375th anniversary gala in November. This is the third year the town has helped organize a Restaurant Week promotion, and it kicks off Sunday and runs through Oct. 18. "Restaurant Week gives the public the opportunity to visit the many fine restaurants and retailers in our community," First Selectman Michael Tetreau said in a release publicizing the event.
