A Fairfield man shot a pit bull that had attacked his two leashed dogs and then charged at him on Tuesday night, according to multiple reports. Police are investigating the incident but Chief Gary MacNamara told the Fairfield Citizen that there is "every indication this was clearly a self-defense situation."
